IVA Questions

Hello,

I'm in the process of getting an IVA from MD.

I suffer from severe anxiety, depression and ADHD.

I understand that under an IVA I'm restricted to a budget.

However for mental health and wellbeing reasons computer and video games help ease anxiety and makes life bearable.

Would I be prohibited from purchasing video games from time to time and the odd occasional small electronic purchase? (selfish question I know)

Currently living at home with parents who I pay rent too and they manage my food and healthcare budget.

Hi, if you can fund these small purchases from your agreed expenses / budget there should be no problem. Some firms will agree a modest expense category for entertainment --- mine was £10 a month, ten years ago, but you can always divert a fiver here and there from housekeeping, haircuts and the like.
