my creditors meeting was on friday 26th june and i have managed to get 73% of the vote on those who voted with northern rock rejecting on the grounds that my joint iva with my wife is biased towards my wifes debt as she will including some equity pay 100% off and i will pay 32% off.anna at clear debt says that she will try to get some more votes on monday as the insolvency exchange deal with abbey zero cards and they have not included this on their yes vote and this would get us to 75%.My current account is with abbey too and cahoot loan and these have not voted either nor has mbna. My question is why would the abbey zero card be dealt with by the insolvency exchange and not the other abbey connected accounts and what are the chances of them agreeing.Im losing confidence with the whole thing and i cant eat or sleep.Today i was walking in the park with my wife and 15 month old baby and i just collapsed in a heap and cryed.monday seems 10 years away.

I cannot offer any advice on creditor voting sorry, but feel for you. I am in a similar but reversed position - our interlocking IVA favours my husbands creditors as he earns double me so the disposable income is more his. I understand your worries. I too am with cleardebt and feel very confident that they'll do their best to help. I hope cleardebt can comne through for you.

I went through exactly the same with Northern Rock being the only no vote. It was several days later when my IP managed to get in a further yes vote to see the IVA approved. I know how you are feeling but put your trust in Cleardebt - they will do everything possible to get you through. I look forward to you posting good news in the near future!!!

Hi
I am sure that Cleardebt will b able to secure a casting vote for you. The Insolvency Exchange will deal with certain creditors an some credit cards are run by different creditors, for example an Alliance and Leicester credit card is actually a MBNA funded card.
Leave it in the hands of the experts and try to relax, you have a few crediors that have not voted so you have very chance of success
Regards

there was confusion with anna about who ran the abbey zero card but it turned out to be run by abbey as it was taken out after they bought the credit book back from mbna. anna said on friday that tix dealt with abbey zero cards, but is this the mbna run card or abbey they deal with,if its the latter i guess its in the hands of abbey to vote on all three debts.

tix voted yes
amex no
northern rock no
so 73%
mbna no vote
abbey no vote
cahoot no vote
abbey zero no vote

Hi mate - please try not to get too stressed out and upset by these people who have lured us all into this debt trap with clever marketing for years - it's not your fault and YOU WILL get a positive solution. To give you some more hope - MBNA and Cahoot both voted YES for my IVA (with a 17.9p/£ return)so I'm sure you will be ok. Good Luck, have a couple of beers tonight, chill out with ur wife and baby tomorrow and it will soon be all over I promise!
IVA Completed! :-)

Cleardebt got my IVA through. I have similar creditors apart from abbey. I had cahoot and they are linked to abbey. Depends on when you took the zero card out as MBNA use to fund these cards. I think it was during 2008 that abbey started to fund there own accounts. MBNA never voted at my meeting. They do like you enter a DMP with them and pay off over 10 years. I am sure Cleardebt will get you the extra 2% required. Have you included all your debts, sometimes a small debt can be forgotten. even though the debt is small, it can just give you the extra.
Please try and take some time out. I know it is difficult but do try think positive. monday will soon be here.

I can understand how you're feeling - I'm a glass half empty person as well. Sometimes it's easier to imagine the worst rather than getting your hopes up, but have faith in Clearbdebt - they have an excellent reputation. You have a few creditors who haven't voted, so I'm sure Cleardebt will be able to get enough votes for a yes.

Good luck, and please let us know how you get on. In the meantime if you need any advice or moral support please post as there's always someone around x

you can also include debts owed to family members so that might help you get the 2% required. Good luck you are in very good hands I am also with ClearDebt and they were superb for me.

Theres a few no voters there to work on and you only need a little swing in your favour so let you IP do their job and get the votes secured. Fingers crossed.

If family member debts are to be included they should be included from the outset, and not introduced at the time of the creditors meeting, which will be met with suspicion by other creditors.
