You have been given some extreme advice about bankruptcy, but as your creditors will ultimately prefer a DMP this could be the best way forward for you. Be aware that a new type of IVA is being introduced next year called a SIVA - which only requires a 50% acceptance, so if the creditor which rejected your proposal is owed less than this, then an IVA could well work for you at this time. Keep your eyes peeled to the forum to ensure that you are able to look at this option at the appropriate time.

Hi Natasha.
I know how you feel, because our IVA was initially rejected by NR. We were told there was no way they would agree to it as we owed them over £60k between two loans, and both were only barely a year old.
Still, we extended it from 5yrs to 6, and we upped our offer from £300 to £400 per month even though I knew this would be difficult to fund regularly with my overtime. As stupid as this may have been, we were desperate to push it through. Thankfully it was accepted, albeit with a raft of mods to the t&c's from NR and Tix.
So keep ur chin up, you never know whats round the corner. Good luck.
