I just wanted to post about how helpful I have found this website and forum. I chose McCambridge Duffy to help me sort out my extreme financial mess after having conversations with a couple of other IP companies. I didn't get a good feeling about the others - too pushy and sales focussed - I just felt like they'd say anything I wanted to hear to get me to sign up. McCambridge Duffy have been the complete opposite. I have always felt like they cared and really wanted to act in my best interests. They've also managed to do something I would have never dreamed possible and negotiate a one off lump sum IVA of £13k to be paid back in one year - from my original debt of £46k. There have been some issues along the way but they have persisted and pulled everything out of the bag to help me have a brighter future!

Thank you so much to all of the people who have helped me - Olivia, Connal, Ross and Daniel, my IP. Such a warm and professional bunch of people. I can't recommend the company highly enough. I don't think these one off payment IVAs are very common but if you are able to raise some cash in a shorter period of time they are well worth considering. I can now see light at the end of the tunnel and hope to be debt free soon.

Good luck to everyone experiencing debt problems on this forum. I hope you can become debt free soon too.

I think that full and final settlement based IVAs are pretty common - we do a lot of them in my firm if third party monies or surplus assets are available. Well done to all concerned in getting your case accepted.

Hi Claire

Welcome to the forum...glad we can help and I'm so happy for you.

We discussed all your options in detail before you finally opted for the IVA. It was originally based on monthly contributions but the lump sum is a great way for you to clear your debts a lot quicker.

I hope everything works out for you and let us know if you have any queries.

All the best [:)] x
