IVA with GT was completed last year and CC received 6 months ago. now have EIC asking me to sign for PPI. can they do this and if I allow it and they claim money who will get it as the IVA has been completed and the CC issued?

My understanding is your creditors may still benefit from this rather than you. Depends on the wording within your iva.
I would try to contact your ip and seek clarification.

Hi,
Thanks for that. I will contact my IP to confirm. Would this still apply if I made my last payment to them a good 18 months ago? As when I paid that I asked if that was all and GT Said yep. Then after 6 months no cc so I called them to ask why and was told oh you need to pay another 800 quid. So paid that and had to wait just over 7-8 months before I got my cc. The question is if my iva ended way back then and I now have the cc do I need to now sign the Eic paperwork? Nothing in my cc letter or anything else says I do.

Just to add to this. My case was already in closures when I got the letter about ppi. So surely this should not be the case?

If you feel that you were mis sold PPI, as you are not tied to an IP any more I would not use EIC or any other company to make a claim, it is so easy to do yourself. If it transpires the money has to go to your creditors then so be it, but if it deemed the exIVA has no rights to this money and it all goes to you, then why should a company like EIC cream off 30% for writing a letter of complaint to the Bank. EIC may try, as they have done to other posters, to make the "you have to use us" type statement then just tell them to do one...
Last Payment made 04/12/14. Completion Certificate 25/7/15. IVA company GT. No Issues

Just to add a small piece of info,,you can go into the Martin Lewis website, here he lists the address of all ppi claims for banks,,i have just writen to them about ppi claims and now await with baited breath,,i also have my cc so will see what happens as there is nothing in my paperwork about ppi claims,,also another good little tip he gives is if you ever had company clothing you had to wash yourself, then your allowed £60 a yr tax relief,,i claimed back and got a rather nice 4 figure back from tax man
