I have moved since my IVA started last year, but have not told my creditors my new address - just suddenly thought maybe I should have done as our postal re-direction has now ended and therefore any post they send will now be sent to our old address - and I would hate for the new people in our old home to read our mail from the creditors ?

Am I at liberty to inform them or not ?

Well its an offence to open mail addressed to anyone else and your IVA prevents your creditors from hassling you. Your creditors will now draw their claim from the IVA pot, unless the IVA should fail for any reason. I dont know if the IP would inform them or not. If you feel you should inform them, then do so

That question has been on my mind also! I dont intend to move in the near future but as I rent my property it could be a case that i may have to. I am in an IVA for 10 months now so I can't see staying here for the next 4 years if circumstances change etc.

If your in an IVA why would your creditors write to you?? They deal direct with your IP.

I've moved twice since my IVA started and I've never informed any of my creditors just my IVA company as that's what my IP said I should do.

Your IP will usually update them in his/her next annual report.
