I am so fed up it's unreal. My long time colleague who I work so well with has decided not to apply. Where does this leave me or who does this leave me working with who knows? Oh I so wish I didn't need these hours!

I know there are a lot worse of people without a job and with ill health but just today I feel so sorry for myself. x

Quite understand where you are coming from Lesley, when you have worked with someone for so many years and then they leave it is like losing your left arm so to speak. Things sometimes happen for reasons, hopefully for the better. The news that a trust is now virtually bankrupt because of PFI doesn't bode well and i'm sure that there will be many others. Good luck with you application. xxx
Om shanti, namesté, good luck to all who are embarking on the IVA journey, it isn't always an easy one but the outcome is the best.

When my boss left a couple of months ago we both cried! And we had only worked together for 18 months...I can't imagine the bond you build up with a long term colleague/friend.

You can feel sorry for yourself Lesley! We all have down days and there is a lot on your plate with the re-structure stuff.

Best wishes both of you. I have my fingers crossed you'll both come out with jobs.

x

Today by 12noon I submit my expression of interest or I'll be redundant. Unfortunately, the way I feel I'll be taking redundancy how that will impact on my IVA I've no idea and it should be at the forefront of my mind you would think but it's not!

I just want out of the whole political fiasco that is happening inside this college!

I haven't I've asked for more time and been granted until Monday. If I go for voluntary redundancy then basically it won't be granted I'm sure as the post although a grade higher isn't too different to what I'm doing now. If not granted they will try to redeploy me and no way am I going to work in any other department.

I have just emailed the HR lady to apologise for being negative to all her suggestions as I did give her a hard time!

thank you Harpic. I don't suppose I'll know what to do by Monday but going to hopefully chat it through with Julie over the weekend and I'll have to come to a decision soon. x
