This is terrible and I can only agree with the sentiments expressed by all posters. It is a disgrace that the NHS is being targetted for cuts but we can send people to Rio for conferences on global warming after the wettest spring on record!

The Olympics is costing a fortune and is way over budget and personally I think that is what bankrupted Greece. Bankers still getting multi million pound bonuses, the 'bonfire of the quangoes' would not like a candle, politicians ripping us off and getting richer by the day etc, etc, etc.

The Tories promised we are all in this together and the NHS would be safe. I am not surprised this was all lies because 'what do you expect from a pig but a grunt'.
An excellent rant!! and probably carries more weight than any of mine. Good to see that mine is not the only blood pressure to hit boiling point on this issue.

Much respect iamfubb2

The country is up the swanny,I am going to build a rocket in the back garden and plan on heading off to a new planet somewhere out there, where there are no political parties or bankers to mess things up. Tickets are on sale to forum members for the small fee of £500,000(need funds to finish building the spaceship!!).

Terrible situation to be in,I have effectively taken a pay cut over the last 3 years due to a reworking of the ambulance service unsocial hours criteria, and we are now faced with a shift review which will no doubt lead to no job cuts but equally no filling up of empty vacancies so we all get to work harder to try and maintain the same level of service. Meanwhile last night all the bosses were outside discussing which new company cars they were all getting!!!! Blood boiling would be an understatement.

Paul
Discharged today the 8th feb 2012. View is much brighter now.
Continuing to rebuild our credit worthiness.

Isn't it crazy? Since starting the IVA in 2008, son left home (lost his rent money) hubby taken a pay cut just to keep his job (building trade) and now this. We have so much less now than when we started IVA and I just want to finish it! House is in negative equity too just to add to my woes! Once it reaches break point I will sell it!
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Skippy I know we will probably never agree on politics but that does not mean I will stop trying to sway you. Maybe one day you will see the light.

Excellent earlier post Michael Peoples, and exactly what I would say too. Let's hope that we don't follow the economic disaster of Greece in the future neither, but I'm not too optimistic about that, or our relationship with the rest of Europe - and I agree also with Nicholas Ridley's famous comment about the EU in 1991 as " A German racket designed to take over the whole of Europe " - I think he was right you know!

Talking of the Olympic games, does anyone North of Watford Gap actually give a toss about them???

I don`t, and as has already been mentioned, all the money that is being thrown at them when people who are key workers in the NHS, people in the Armed Forces and other workers in many fields are facing losing their livelihoods....

Yet we still have a benefit system that is being widely abused and milked for all it`s worth by all and sundry, many who have come to these shores because of the easy pickings available to them via such avenues.

Makes my blood boil.

Couldn't agree with you more there Michael's people, i too work on the front line and have to say that my workload has increased but the staffing levels haven't to cope with it, the place i work is relying on agency work which must be costing an absolute fortune but would otherwise not be able to cope, so what do you do? I feel sorry for those nurses who are embarking on their careers, mine, i have approximately 10 years left so will try and hold out till then. Shame that britain can't realise the worth of their own grown nurses who because of how they are treated leave to go abroad and are welcomed with open arm!. Lem/Lesley my thoughts are with both of you, good luck. xx
Om shanti, namesté, good luck to all who are embarking on the IVA journey, it isn't always an easy one but the outcome is the best.

IVA COMPLETED August 2012, received Completion certificate 18.4.13.

I think -- but correct me if I am wrong ... but no host of the Olympics has made a profit in real terms. The vast majority of ex olympic venues were white elephants and now lie idle.

Michael -- I love the pig and grunt comment :-)

These days ( and this is just my jaded opinion) we are at the mercy of "career politicians", who are in it for power, prestige and money, have no experience of life in the real world (straight from Eton to Politics) and are no there for the good of the country!

There was atime when going into politics meant some personal and or financial sacrifice and the people running the country were there because ( whatever their political flavour) they wanted a better Britain.

Hi recovering. Meeting 1:30pm - 5:00pm...They have written new job descritpions that they didn't bring with them they said they would email them to us today! It's 19:15 and no job description, they honestly think we're stupid and are treating us as such!

At the minute I can take holidays whenever I want so long as I arrange cover. With the new job it's term time teaching and holidays off, a grade higher and so interviews will be necessary as we can't just slot in and it's going to be competitive interview process...can't wait!

We need to register our interest by 29th June and interviews will be arranged. I'm on holiday 9th July for a fortnight...aren't they great?

I'm so unhappy with everything there is a job in the local paper for 31 hours (which is what I work now) and I'm applying tonight. It's not teaching and I'll give up my degree I realise that but they are treating us so bad in my opinion.

I am going to the union about the change in holidays as that is my main bugbear. I can't and don't want to go away in school holidays. Pay me as a lecturer and I'll abide!

Sorry I'm rambling but am no happy x

Am I a bit dense or was that a lot of meeting with no end result?
