Harpic - thank you.

Recovering, you're spot on...they are full of empty promises and I've just logged on to the work server again and nothing at all...why say they will send it if they're not going to. I'm taking union advice now. Seriously fed up with it. Not even set interview dates for those who want to apply.

Good luck from me too Lesley. It is a disgrace that frontline workers like you are getting this type of treatment and doctors are going on strike but still getting paid. The doctors probably went to Eton with Camercon...

Sorry to hear that you are no further Lesley, let's hope that you hear something today, Michael the doctors are a law unto themselves and have a very strong union behind them, but the reality of this is that public support will be lost if anything untoward happens to anyone during this one day period, it will be interesting to watch though and see if the government do bow to their wants! Foggy i have to agree with you, what life lessons have they learnt and i bet they don't go and buy value food or peruse the whoopsie bar in the supermarkets! Lesley/Lem both in my thoughts. xx
Om shanti, namesté, good luck to all who are embarking on the IVA journey, it isn't always an easy one but the outcome is the best.

IVA COMPLETED August 2012, received Completion certificate 18.4.13.

Oh Lesley, I truly understand where you are coming from as the meeting ours held last week was the same, not really much substance to it, bits of info but nothing concrete. We are still waiting for this list of vacancies.

I am beginning to think that the only reason they held the meeting when they did and with less than 24hrs notice was because yesterday it hit the local and national news and I think it was leaked, so obviously the Trust didn't want us to find out from the media rather than them directly (I guess that's something I suppose, but then that would only be because of the backlash from the unions and not really anything to do with us as such)

OMG.... Just caught up with this and it just smacks of the way the Mininstry of Justice is going.... private sector take overs, no pay rises for the forseeable future (haven't had one for over 2 years now and won't see one for the remainder of my service). Budget cuts, staff cuts, more work forced on staff (ie work from the grade above that is being dispanded) for the same money. All of this and guess what... the criminals of this world MUST NOT suffer through all this change. But of course the general law-abiding public of this world can, as we can read in this post. The country is going to rack and ruin all at the hands of young economists/politicians who have never seen a day of "real life" in their young lives.

Lem, you are spot on.... so many government cuts going on, nothing has been thought through properly and the people who are holding these meetings, don't even know themselves what's going on, so are not in a place to advice. The problem is, it has all happened far too quickly, even in the government the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. I am afraid things don't look like they are going to improve either. We are all certainly in for a rough ride, and no-one in government cares a jot. They are just concerned in feathering their own nests.

Well sods law the server was down at work yesterday but they sent job descritpion to my personal email after I rang them! No different to the draft except for teaching a level higher...whoopie doo! I'm taking union advice in respect of the holidays and basically take it from there. I've got to apply really because of the IVA if I dont get a post then so be it, I'll have to deal with that when the time comes.

Boss man is coming today so I want his view on the holidays face to face without all the other big wigs about!

Do you know when all this will take effect from Lesley?, our forms are due in by close of play today, however, we STILL don't have a vacancy list to make a choice from, I logged on to my work emails yesterday from home to see a snotty email from my manager to the divisional manager stating that she is now off for a long weekend and as the vacancy list hasn't been forthcoming so far, she has advised all her staff to not complete the forms, at least she is sticking up for us. They have no idea what they are doing!

Sounds just like my place Lem. My boss has come over today and I feel a lot happier. I'm working on a rota for him to cover both jobs and I'll be applying for one.

There is a discrepency in the letter and I'm going to have them about that when/if the time arises. Maybe chat this one through with Julie later oh and they spelt my name wrong! What a bunch of amateurs!

Lesley & Lem, I really do hope things work out for you both. The public sector is so fragile at the moment no matter which area you work in. It must be so soul destroying to be treated in this manner.
