I havent been following the scutter press much so dont know all the facts...but i did hear that this guy had lots of debt, and what concerns me is that if that was the case, that someone can feel so desperate to fake there own death as seeing it as there only way out. Its tragic really.

i agree bagpuss, when you are desperate you don't know what measures you will go to, i don't think i would have gone that far, but everyone deals with it differently, doesn't make what he and his wife has done any better, i can't understand why he came back and handed himself in, obviously because someone was on to them but they lied to their own children which is the worst of all, well we will only know once the story develops.

Sorry, I might sound hard but I think him and his wife knew exactly what they were doing. I've read an interview with his father and it sounds as though he's always been a bit dodgy...

I don't feel sorry for him. Fancy faking your own death, and not even telling your children that you are really alive. They will have gone through the grief, and all along he was alive watching his own kids go through it

His wife used to go and visit his father and comforted him when he thought his son was dead - to me that's callous and calculated.

I have to agree. As a mother, i would never decietfully let my children grieve for somebody who is indeed alive. It's hard enough watching them grieve for deceased, no matter how old they are. It's very cruel and calculated.

I'll never forget how I felt when my dad died and to find out that it had all been a lie would be so painful. I hope him and his wife get a long prison sentence for all the heartache they've caused.
