things are getting better something comes along and kicks you back down...since ever my IVA started all I've had is one thing after another and today I sit here in tears typing this....had a hell of time for the last few days with the mother in law with mental illness, today my one and only work pair of trousers which is already split at the waistband and got pulls all over them are wet and the tumble dryer that I only ever use half a dozen times a year has finally given up the ghost, mind it's 26 years old so I guess it wasn't going to last forever, so now instead of being positive and finding a skirt to wear for work I'm sitting here feeling sorry for myself as the only skirt I own is all ready for the FF party on the 21st....I want to say why me? and then I think of my dear friend who is dying of liver cancer and won't be here after Christmas. It's half term so I'm going to get away with jeans *I'm hoping* as the Principal won't be in and we're only on skeleton staff to catch up with marking and download new tests etc., I've snapped at my husband and he's gone to work, I've snapped at my daughter and she's gone back to bed...ooh I feel so down at the minute and can't pick myself up. Sorry for moaning to all you wonderful positive guys but I can't talk to anyone else as nobody else knows what I'm going through. xx

It's always the little things isn't it? The big things you can get through but the little ones are absolute sods to get through sometimes.

You'll get there, but it certainly isn't an ideal start to the day.

Oh Lesley, I'm sorry you're having such a rotten time at the moment - you know where I am if you need to offload.

Regarding your trousers, I know it's not much use to you this morning, but Tesco and Asda both do black work trousers for £5. They're the only ones I buy for work now (far too mean to spend more!), and they look ok and last reasonably well.

I agree with Skippy though about the £5 trousers - I've got a couple of pairs of the Asda ones and they are brilliant.

Oh thank you all, I've made a complete idiot of myself again, with my Diva Tantrum complete with tears this time! Sadly no Tesco or Asda close by we've Morrisons and Sainsburys but I may visit one of them very soon in a neighbouring town about 17 miles away.

I guess that's like me too LadyH, managed with MIL's sectioning early hours of last Friday morning, packing her things Friday afternon after no sleep, babysitting for twins all night Saturday night and finally caught up with me today!

Sorry, I flat-lined for a bit, I have my lovely friend and her 2 daughters staying (they are both my godchildren and very sweet). Needless to say, we had a late night chatting and the children are all so excited that they were up at 6.20am giggling and watching Home Alone in their playroom in the loft- I could hear everything. I am now 'coming to' with a black coffee and back on here, because I missed you all!

So relieved that you sorted out the tumble dryer Lesley, it's awful when you feel that nothing is going right. Thanks for adding me to your Friends list, and ladyh! You're right, you can never have too many friends and I feel you all understand me more than my usual crowd!

So, I now have breakfast for 7 to prepare. The sound of that many bowls of Coco Pops popping will be heard on Mars.

Going to see 'This Is It' tonight with my 3 boys. Very exciting, I bought the tickets weeks ago and haven't been out in the evening for ages. My children moon walk everywhere and I'm an emotional wreck when I hear MJ sing, so tissues packed! Get me at 36, I act like a 13 year old!!
