You need to speak to your prospective IP and inform them of this. I don't know how it will affect your proposal.

First thing to do is speak to your IP right away. Your proposal can, hopefully, be altered to suit the new circumstances. You will have to decide on future plans now, though, bearing in mind maternity pay benefits, how much your employer might make them up, and when you want to return to work.
A bit of planning and all should be OK.
