Would like to know who your IP firm is that recommended a DMP first?

I'd like to know that as well. It doesn't necessarily follow that the interest and charges will be stopped anyway

They've been mentioned on here once or two recently.

I certainly wouldn't have set up a DMP whilst your IVA is being set up - it can take a fair length of time to set them up if your creditors don't agree, by which time an IVA could be up and running.

It's not too late to change your firm.

Any of the professional experts who post on here are highly recommended. If you click on the expert link, which is on the left hand side of the page, they are listed on there.

Two of them have posted on this thread, and their contact details are in the post. Give either one a ring and they will give you good advice.

i've spoke to the company dealing with my application and they are going straight for an IVA and not a DMP. What got me confused was that they sent me paperwork for both which i completed and then sent back.At the moment they are waiting for creditors to send them up todate balances so they can then put the proposol together. Phone hasn't stopped ringing, but i just keep telling them my situation!
