My phone has just rang and when I answered I had recorded message askign if I had debt of over £5000 and if so there is 'a little know legislation' that might be able to help and if so press 5. I pressed 5 and asked who they were. The lady said 'Information Team'. She asked how much debt I had and I said I had an IVA. She hung up on me. How Rude?!
I 1471'd and it was a number for a Consumer Poll. Has anyone had one of these recently?

Hi Oikichi

This will be from a firm who sell debtor information on to debt management companies or insolvency practitioners, where a caller expresses an interest in receiving insolvency advice.

I agree that the person was rude - but you will provide them with no earning capacity if you are already subject to IVA proceedings.

The phone call was on a home working line that was installed 3 months ago. I have had an IVA for 2.5 years.
