I've just sat here and realised that I made my 50th payment today, just 10 more to go [:)]!! I'm not a regular poster on the forum but I do tend to dip in every day and have a look at whats going on. I've seen a lot of new people over the past few months and just wanted to say its definitely worth hanging in there with the IVA. I know I have 10 months left and it won't be easy as I split from my partner about 4 months ago but the IVA has made me realise I can budget and I had to adjust my I&E when we split up but I have done it successfully. Anyway enough rambling I'm just so proud of myself for making it to 50 payments.
The next payment takes me down in too single figures, woo hoo!

Well done!! We've just made 14th payment so a long way to go but at least the first year is out of the way.

Were there any times that you felt like going BR??

Well done from me too, I'm about to make my 3rd payment on Friday, long way to go but so happy in my IVA decision.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

I definitely could tell a tale or two of woe Cat, but I have looked back over the past 50 months and realised that I have become a much stronger more confident person just from doing an IVA.

Julie, I'll be honest there have been times when I felt like going BR but originally I was advised that BR was the best (or should I say easiest) option for me but I wanted to make a real effort to pay something back so I chose the IVA which is why through thick and thin I've stuck with it.

I hope in 10 months time I'll be here telling you all again how it is definitely worth sticking with an IVA.
