contact your ip and tell them of this if you have signed your proposal then it wont be long before they are contacted by the ip also have you told them you are going for an iva .also just a thought get in contact with the ombundsman cause this sounds like harrassment to me and thats illegal!!!

Get your IP onto this asap as they should not be needing to visit you knowing you are proposing an IVA. you do not have to let them so do not, no matter what they say.
Let us know what your IP says as I'm sure many other posters will be interested to know to put their minds at rest.

In my firm we write to creditors at the earliest possible opportunity so that they are aware of their customer's intentions with regard to debt repayment. It doesn't always work, and they will often continue to call and send letters - but I can say with confidence that home visits are very rare, and generally used more as threat as they know this will disturb most people.
Sorry for the delay rang gt gave me somen advice if they turned up.Checked the letter again and it does actually give an option for cancelling the meeting at a cost, sent a text message to the supplied number stating state of play and no-one arrived thanks for all your advice so far
