I am just starting the process with Payplan, have recieved letter today and request for documents so will be sending these tomorrow once i get all the documents together.

I am really worried about the outcome should i not be accepted?

Are there other options?

Hi Sam and welcome to the forum. We've all had that feeling of 'what if'. Your IP once presented with all the required documentation will put the best proposal forward and on the meeting date, I'm sure your best offer will be on the table for acceptance. Try not to worry a good IP will see you right.

However, there are other options of a debt management plan and even bankruptcy. These can all be discussed with your IP. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Don't worry too much, it's easy to say but not easy to do! I just posted that my 3rd payment has just gone out and I still remember how anxious I felt during all the process. It's normal to feel that way but the one thing I can say is that they wouldn't put a proposal forward if they didn't think it had a good chance of success. I'm with Payplan and have so far found them brilliant! GOOD LUCK!

Hi Sam, I am sure you will be ok - Payplan wouldn't put you forward if they didn't think you br accepted. In the event it wasn't accepted then you could do a dmp or go bankrupt but I am sure it won't come to that.

Hi Sam

I'm also pretty much at the same stage as you. I too keep thinking what will happen if they don't accept the proposal. Like others have said, the IP's know what is usually accepted and hopefully would only put forward IVA's that the creditors will agree to.

Not seen a rejection on here for a very long time. I am sure you will both be ok.

Hi - have faith in your IP. They wouldn't put all this work in if they didn't believe the proposal would be accepted.

Hi
Most have been and know where you are now Me incl :) As always people will say dont worry about it but thats what you have to try to do As your IVA is being dealt with now then you must have a good chance and when your IVA compnay says that a meeting will be arranged etc then you can pretty much guarantee it will go through ok As long as you are in a position to pay back over the 5 years and the amounts not a £100000000 you should be fine
I was told that at the time and they said to me then even if it failed they would find another solution You are dealing with this in the best way you can now ok be positive and toughen up and in a month or 2 you will be on your way At the end of the day they are going to get some money back so its in there own interests to work with you and compannies setting this up for you want your busimess also so they are going to do there best to get a customer on there books
take care stay strong and dont look back ok

Sam your feelings are natural and we all went through the same but I can only reiterate what others have said and that is - please try not to fret becuase your IP would not put your case through if they did not think it would be accepted x

we/i felt just the same,we were all set to let the mortgage fall into arrears to get the £ together for BR if the IVA wasn't accepted but Mel got it through.

this stage can get v bumpy with creditors contacting you, don't get bullied, post here for help/support,it's a life line.

well done for facing the monster! (debts) things can only get better!x

Creditors have criteria for accepting an iva and your IP will be clued up about these, know you have a good chance of acceptance and tweak your proposal if needed to make it more favourable. All in all its a science not a game of chance and your IP will be feeling very confident about your proposal being accepted.
