Thank you to you all.
I have have been feeling really down over the last couple of days about the whole situation we are in. I feel like I am losing control on things and this is not a feeling I am comfortable with.
I feel so guilty that we let things get this far and yet I am glad that we are doing something about it (we are 3 months into our IVA) I just don't want my children to suffer and I don't want to see them go without.
I have read the forum everyday as I always do even though I don't always post and it always gives me comfort knowing that it isn't just me, that there are other people in the same situation.
I know that we have a tough time ahead, the first few months of our IVA haven't been easy as we have had to use all our contingency (what little we had built up)money for the car as it needed some work on it and as it has to last us the next five years at least it was money we had to spend.
Anyway reading all your posts and lively debates has lifted my spirits today and I just wanted you all to know that you have helped me feel better.
I know that we have a much better future to look forward to when our IVA completes and I have my wonderful husband and children to keep me going through the dark days and all of you lovely people too.
Lots of love xxx

Ah, sblack, I'm so sorry you have been feeling a little down. I'm no where near to sorting my IVA out so I can't really offer any advice on that bit, but I never shut up on here so if you ever want to just "talk", I'm always around. Thinking of you. Viki X

Thanks Viki
I have read a lot of your posts and you are a very supportive person and I really do hope things start to go your way soon.
I have to do some studying tonight and sew uniforms ready for school tomorrow but I will log on later before I go to bed if I am not too tired (I am exhausted all the time but can't sleep when I go to bed) and see if you are around.

Hi sblack

Hope you are feeling ok now. Thats the beauty of this forum, lots of people who are going through/been through what you are. People who know exactly how you are feeling when you hit a low.

Just try to stay positive and keep remembering that you have addressed your debt problem and you are dealing with it.

Keep your chin up [:D]

Hi sblack.

Sorry youre feeling down, its early days yet and perhaps you are still in panic mode. You know youre in this position, but you dont have to like it. It can be so scary just looking at you bank balance and knowing thats all there is, having no little red numbers to fall back on, took me ages to accept that one.

~Any change is scary at first and I guess its only natrual to question, 'can I really do this? Even the day after I was free I cried my eyeballs out, I dont even know why.

You will cope, when youre feeling a little bit scared about it just come here. I have become really resourcefull and my kids are happy. They didnt have anything new etc but as long as we made it fun, they coped.

As long as youre happy your children will be. Thats what they need most. I can remember my daughters birthday and we got her a phone from a second hand shop, we did boot sales, traded stuff in and even felt down the sofa...did she treasure that phone.

Another time when I was feeling a bit ****ty, we decided to go for a run, I have this nosey neighbour. We all ran out of the house one after the other, round the block and bet on how long it would take her to take her to knock the door to find out what was up. We also had a race of course.

Tell yourself you can do this, and you will believe it.
