Irene

What a dreadful thing to happen to you at this time of year. Why not ring your IP to see if they will let you pay a lower amount this month to cover the lost money, which can be reimbursed when your claim is progressed. If I were your IP I would definately agree to that.

thanks again for everyones comments and support...melanie...it doesnt actually affect our payment to IVA as it was savings....it will just mean that christmas shopping will be done in two weeks time rather than this weekend i guess...as i am absolutely sure it will be refunded.....but thanks for the thought....
we actually had a letter today from the bank..another departement to say "we have detected unusual activity on your account"...this was dated 4 days ago..so with my claim and this letter it will be refunded....by unusual i guess they mean...new york rather than asda...!!!!!!....

Hi MTL

I hope youre feeling a little bit better today. It makes you wonder why they didnt put a stop on the card, I mean with a transaction in Asda then a few mins later one in New York, it wouldnt really take a genius..... Anyhooo, when I got cloned, I knew nothing of it. I went to Tescos and bought some shopping and my card was refused, the amount was only £12 or something. I tried to get the cash from outside and I was again refused, then I had to drive to a bank and get my dosh, it was all still there. They phoned me up saying that they had stopped the card as there was unusual activity on the card. Someone had tried to buy 6K worth of goods from Argos, and around 1K from comet which had actually gone through but the delivery address was somewhere in Preston northend.

Anyhow, I didnt lose anything but still felt a bit violated, its not nice but the scumbags in my case were caught by them giving the address.

I hope you get sorted very soon. I am sure you will.

Lots of love.

I hope you manage to get it sorted out soon, what a nightmare! When mine got used and abused a couple of months ago I had a new card within 3 days. It took a couple of weeks for the money to go back on though.

MTL that's really good news, so pleased for you.

Fingers crossed it doesn't happen again.

Thats good MTL, really pleased about that. Thank goodness they sorted it out quickly for you. Must have been a very nervous wait at this time of year.

Take care
