That's really good news Whichwaynow. It really restores your faith in human nature when you meet people like that.

Glad it is all fixed now

Its people like the man that fixed it for you that restore your faith in human kindness and nature.

When I was waiting for my creditors meeting I was not concentrating in the car one day, I was worrying about my meeting so much, the next thing you know it I had hit the back of this poor man and his wife at a junction [:(]
I jumped out of car and was close to crying ad first thing I said was I am so sorry are you both ok? He said they were fine and was worried about any damage to MY car. I said on't worry about mine I am just worried about your car and you both. His bumper was pushed in a bit at the back.
He phoned me when I got home to say that he had unscrewd bumper and repaired it himself and his wife was worried about me as I looked so upset!!
Could not believe how nice he was, could have had someone completely different who got angry, claimed compensation and all sorts. As the man said himself I hit the right person as he was so honest[:)]

Glad you are now snug as it is sooooo cold outside

On the day that we moved Dave managed to hit 2 cars (don't ask!) in the van. Both people were really nice and wished us luck with the move and hoped the day improved for us. They could have both been cross but were more worried about us!

Reminds me of my accident fifteen years ago when I hit the back of the van at a roundabout. I was only doing 5 miles an hour!

When I hit it the van , whole van fell apart, and my insurance company had a field day with his claim saying that it was not fit to be on the Road. Although I was upset at the time I do laugh about it now!

It looked like one of those comedy moments you see on TV!

I had an accident on New Year's Day 6 years ago - I was driving back from the South Coast and a car way in front of me stopped, I didn't see any brake lights (I'm not convinced he had any!) and I went straight up the back of it. When the police arrived it turned out that the driver was way over the drink drive limit and was actually an illegal immigrant who was arrested and deported the following day! Both cars were write offs and Dave still says how impressed he is with Ford's build quality as my Fiesta wrote off an Audi A6!

I never hit other cars, just posts in car parks and the gate in the garden as I backed the car out the damned thing swung shut. Only had the car a week. No fun, as skippy I am sure you know, telling you hubby the lorry driver what you have done, being as he lets me know all the time that he is a professional lol

We've moved to new offices and I swear the tree wasn't there when I first reversed into parking space...

Have never pranged a car (touched wood), but when moving house several years ago, did manage to collapse the entire canopy roof at a small petrol station with our rented Luton van.... was devastated at the time, they had to close the forecourt, must have cost the company a fortune in lost trade.... but looking back now it was comical and the lady at the tills just couldn't stop laughing!!!.... Suffice to say, my good lady won't allow me forget that day, or indeed to drive anything bigger than a car ever since!!

Dave wouldn't put petrol in the van as he was worried about driving it into the petrol station!
