I appreciate we're all different but for me an animal is as much of a priority as a human! Harry is purring beside me at the moment and I couldn't give him up if he cost £12,000 let alone £120 - I've always said I would willingly get into debt again for him! The love from an animal is priceless.

I hope your cat is soon on the mend sprowstonboy x

A quick update,

Cat is off to specialist on Monday, our vet has exhausted all avenues open to him. Insurance has paid out for his bill and we have confirmed that they will cover the specialist referral.

Hopefully new washing machine will be delivered on Sunday.

Panic over (hopefully).....till the next one!

I hope your poor cat is ok - at least you don't have to worry about the money.

Hope the washing machine works ok when you get it!!

Aren't they a worry I had a worry last week with my choc lab, big lump come up and is still there but just a fat lump, unsightly in my opinion but he's healthy which is more important. x

As a huge animal lover I thought I too would wish you all the best with your cat

We have 3 dogs and our youngest - a very lively 18 month old boxer - cut his paw yesterday. Sedation and five stitches gave us a bill of £256! Luckily my mum and dad are helping us with it.

He isn't insured because it's so expensive (dearer than normal because boxers are renown for being daft lol) although I do have my horse insured because their vet bills can get way out of hand very quickly

Our pets are also a big part of our family - we would do anything for them - whatever the cost

Fingers crossed all goes well for you

x

We've three dogs as well but I do have them insured.

I'd still find the money though, whatever.

They wanted £45 a month to insure the boxer - I thought that was ridiculous and we just can't afford it at the moment

Although it would probably be cheaper in the long run as he's a bit of an idiot lol

That is a lot of money. My lurcher is £20 per month but the other two are a lot less.

Not had to make a claim yet thankfully.

Just done another quote through price comparison and some are quite cheap but haven't heard of half the companies so not sure if they're any good!

That's cheap Niobe! I pay £21 a month for Harry's insurance and that seems a lot for a cat!
