Thanks Struzzo.

Here's an update for Peejayel! 5 days on and today is my best day yet. I've walked to the corner shop twice (with hubby as he won't let me go on my own!) and been pottering around the house. I'll be honest and say yesterday wasn't good, I spent most of the day in bed and wasn't well last night. However don't let that put you off, it was still better than the pain from the gallstones! I know a few people who've had it done and they say after day 4 things start to get better.

Thanks Lesley.

I ventured to my GP today to make sure everything is going as it should and apparently it is. I did get a telling off from her though as I'm apparently expecting too much too soon! I don't feel too bad today although not quite as good as yesterday. The weightloss now stands at 10lb though!

Well there's always a bright side I guess, but not good to be in pain. Do take it easy and I'm sure soon you'll be feeling fit again.

Thanks for the update Skippy, and glad you are recovering nicely, seems like it is more difficult to get over than I imagined, don't know why I just assumed I would have the op be pain free and fine afterwards LOL Never thought about the recovering from the op itself LOL

Think I have managed to pick up the 10lb you have lost.[:(]

That's exactly what I thought! I was going to be up and about with no problems but as my GP said 'you've had a b***** major operation!' She also said that mine was less straightforward because of the pancreatitis. She's made me realise that I need to take it slowly and don't overdo it.

Had the letter today to go for the Op pre-ssessment. Unfortunately it is when we are away on a Sun holiday so will have to ring up on Tuesday and change it. Why do these things always arrive on a Saturday, and a Bank Holiday weekend as well LOL

Well to update this, Was supposed to go in and have the op on 24th July but at that point hubby was in intensive care due to a motorbike accident so I had to cancel, it was rearranged and hopefully this Tuesday (7th Oct) I will go in to have my gallbladder removed.

Hubby is slowly recovering, still has a lot of pain and is taking painkillers regularly, but at least he is alive. It has so far been a pretty grotty year, haven't really noticed the months ticking down , just noticed today we are only 6 payments away from completion then the long wait for our CC. (good ol GT and their 6 month wait). I will be so glad to get the op out of the way and it is a constant dull ache now and most foods are affecting me.
