l am with a debt specialist on an IVA programme, but am close to failing this due to my changing jobs and my income being reduced by 400 a month. Is it possible to change IVA companies. We have been on the programme 12 months but am still not fully into the programme as they keep increasing the amount due

Hi and welcome.

I'm afraid it isn't possible to change companies once you are in an IVA without it costing a lot of money and going through the courts again.

You need to speak to your IP and tell them about the change in your circumstances to see if your payments can be reduced.

When you say that they keep increasing the amounts, how much have you been paying a month since you started.

If your income has decreased you can ask for a reduction in payments. However, I am wondering why your payments keep increasing and why you say that you are not fully in the programme. Has there been a meeting of creditors and have you signed IVA proposal documents with the payments listed on it?
