Hi. Quite a few forum members have managed to rent whilst in an IVA. Either look for private landlords who might not do a credit search or, if you go through an agent, be honest and upfront about the IVA. A credit fail can often be got around by increased deposit or a guarantor.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

We rented during our iva and had many IPs and downs with landlords causing us to move mid way through. Be honest with any letting agent you approach ...we were told being upfront goes in your favour as they may have landlords on their books who are willing to take the risk,- although those in iva's are less likely to default as they live on a controlled budget!

Make sure you get a good reference off your current landlord and as has been said be open with letting agents about the iva. If a larger deposit may be needed perhaps a payment break from the iva would be an option.
