Well it's our time of year to do our Income and expenditure! Yay, made it this far and this should be the last one ever!!!! The years have flown by and we have made it this far and now on the home stretch with 12 payments to go(with an extra year thrown in)!! One son has left school and another going up to big school. We regret how stupid we were in the first place and feel bad our boys have missed out on all the usual stuff boys their ages get but they are happy and hopefully they have learnt the lesson of looking after money. For those starting their journey in an IVA keep your chin up, it's hard and by no means a picnic but you will get there. Our IVA company has been fantastic, keep the lines of communication open, be honest and any changes let them know. I am so excited that this time next year only ONE payment left (unless anything goes very wrong!) My sons I will be treating you after the final month! (even though they don't know about the IVA and wont read this.) Can't believe I am so excited but the number 12 is looking very small indeed up to when we began.

A great post and I sincerely hope your final 12 months run smoothly for you. I felt the same about my daughter who was the only one of my children affected by the IVA. I gave her a treat and it certainly has helped her to budget well now she's at uni.
You're on a good countdown now.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
