I paid my last IVA payment on the 28th February 2013. I have heard nothing from Grant Thornton at all, they are the most unhelpful, arrogant and patronising company I have ever dealt with. I have rang several times and am still waiting for a return call, the completion certificate, our names to be removed from the insolvency register and for the RX1 to be lifted from our property. I rang the FSA ombudsmen yesterday and am hoping that this will speed up the process now as I just want to get on with my life after 6 and a half years! Very very fed up. Has anyone else had problems with completion? I've not used this forum before so apologies if this is a repeated question.

Hi and welcome...it would appear that GT are noted on the forum as being slow in closures. To not return your calls or emails though is downright rude in my opinion. Have you tried contacting your IP direct, I can't say if it will or won't help you but sometimes he who shouts loudest so do keep hassling them and hopefully that certificate to enable you to move on won't be far away. Have a look around the forum and I'm sure you'll see lots of similar posts.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Thank you,
Yes I have tried contacting my IP unsuccessfully on several occasions. I have just noticed all the comments about GT, makes me cross when we didn't choose them in the first place to be lumbered with them. I will keep on contacting them and hopefully this will end soon.

Hi
You are in a very long queue i'm afraid, keep contacting them though until you receive a satisfactory answer
It's about time a regulator or the government stepped in and sorted out this fiasco in my opinion

Oh joy!
I think it is disgusting that they get away with it. They get paid a fortune for what I can see, doing nothing. So unfair.

According to the FSA once a complaint is filed against a company , the company have 8 weeks to satisfactorily deal with it or they face a fine. My complaint was filed yesterday 22/10/13 let's see what (if any) response I receive.

I hope it's positive for you Chali, it is unfair and as Andy says it is about time it was sorted. Having their clients lives on hold post IVA payments for an unreasonable amount of time isn't on.

Welcome to the club Chali!!!! We too made our final payment in Feb, to Money Debt & Credit, after which GT took on our case. We are still waiting for our CC. After numerous non-returned phone calls & e-mails, I finally got to speak to Karol at GT (she posts on this forum) and she assured me that our cases are to go to a MVM on 1 Nov, and that we will have our CC by the end of Nov. Any PPI investigations will take place regardless of our cases being closed. We will see come the beginning of December if this is actually what happens.

Thank you Lesley. I have just been sat here reading various threads about GT and don't feel as confident as I did before but at least I am trying. Will let you know how it goes.

Hi tinks81,
I hope you get sorted too. I'm am so shocked that these people get away with this. If I was this incompetent in my job I would be sacked! Interesting to hear you've not had calls and emails returned. So very rude! I think I might contact Karol too as I really want to move house next year and until this is all sorted I can do nothing!

Chali - luckily I'm the type of person who keeps notes of every phonecall & keep all my e-mails so I had proof of everything that had gone on. The only reason, I think, that Karol got involved was from a posting I made on here a while back that Karol saw. I had done as people had advised, i.e put IVA Forum in the subject of e-mails so that they (supposedly) went straight to Karol, but that hadn't helped so as a last desperate attempt I made some comment on a posting on here that thankfully Karol picked up. But you are so right. How this company are still in business is beyond my comprehension, and I think it so unfair on Karol that she is left to pick up the pieces from other peoples' ineptitudes and the greed of the company she works for.

This just isn't acceptable at all! Has anyone on here been to the press about this? There must be something we can do. We signed in for between 5-6 years depending and have abided by the terms of the court agreement how can they get away with not fulfilling their obligations to us, which they have been paid for?
