We are finally there! The last payment of 66 went out today. I rang GT and they are passing our case to the completions department and we have to do a final review of payslips etc but we can cancel our direct debit. What a feeling that was pressing the cancel button! [:)]

They also said it could be 10 months before we get our certificate of completion!! [:(]

It has been a long, hard road and has tested my husbands and my marriage but so worth it. I would like to thank everyone at GT and this forum for the help and support.

Tracey

Congratulations on completing and good luck for the future.

Unfortunately there is a delay in closing cases at the moment. It will hopefully be resolved soon.

That must feel good !, but 10 months wait for your certificate is a pain.
I hope the powers that be sort this vat lark out a bit sharpish.

Well done - I bet that feels good!

Maybe GT are erring on the side of caution by saying 10 months?

I would just ask them for confirmation that any windfalls received from today are not payable to the IVA as you have completed your obligation.

Congrats Tracey. GT stated 6 months to other members which is harsh, 10 months is just too long.
Last Payment made 04/12/14. Completion Certificate 25/7/15. IVA company GT. No Issues

Congratulations Tracey....

... but 10 months for a completion certificate - it's starting to get ridiculous. TBH I don't know where GT are plucking that figure from because to my knowledge they have no idea when they will receive their refund from HMRC.

I wonder how many people nationwide are currently in "closure limbo" and how many more join us by the week.

I'm seriously thinking of writing to my MP because HMRC's attitude to this is an absolute disgrace - if they didn't want to settle the claims they should have appealed against the Tribunal ruling. As they chose not to they surely have a responsibility/duty/obligation to settle claims in a reasonable timescale.
