As the title suggests, its my last payment tomorrow, although the standing order has already gone from my account...
Im with Grant Thornton, and ever since they took over from Blair Endersby I noticed customer service was much improved. Sometimes you would call BE staff and they would give you the impression as though, haha your in debt, you're stupid (that's probably just my perception) Although I needed a payment break one month and GT just said yes that's fine, which was great.
Anyway I've forgotten the point of my post.
Does anyone know how long its likely to take to receive that gold plated certificate of completion?
many congrats on the final payment, the feeling must be immense [:D]
not sure how long things are taking at the mo with GT as i understand the VAT issue has not yet been resolved and at present no cases are being closed until its sorted!
Normal estimates are anything up to 6 months for the completion certificate before the VAT issue was raised

IVA completion and certificate received 08/10/2012!!!
You will find that it takes a time to get your completion certificate as there is a bit of a backlog caused by the VAT claim with HMRC,

I have a feeling GT are as well but of course I could be wrong and even if they are there will be somewhat of a backlog I think.

I think they just have to work through the backlog now.

Congratulations[:D] I am in the same club as I make my final payment on March 12th, I am with Payplan and I spoke to my case officer the other day (Who I must say has been fantastic) And she said they would send out a letter to say that I had fulfilled the terms of the arrangement all payment met and will receive completion certificate in due course and she said it would probably take 3 months but admitted there had been some hold ups but she seemed think mine would go smoothly, So hopefully a result.

Well done to all who've just made or are about to make their last payment, what a great feeling. I'm in the last year and this time next year is what I keep thinking. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
What a great place to be, looking forward to the end of your iva, its such an exciting time, you think its never going to happen, then suddenly, your there, then its over,i remember it well, i don't think i will forget it in a hurry.
Like quite a few people, i have had a little moan about not receiving my completion certificate.
So What......on reflection, it doesn't matter. The main thing is i finnished my IVA.
When Grant Thornton who by the way are a great firm to be with, i have never had any problem in contacting them, i have found all the staff to be freindly and helpful, solving all queries i put to them,(i moved from Debtmatters), i'm glad they inherited me as they have always been there for me when i needed them.
