My IVA's last payment was Jan 2012 - still chasing GT for closure certificate. What I want to know is as my last payment as made 19 months ago and your IVA stays on your credit file for 12 months after, do I have to wait another 12 months after receiving CC before it is removed from my credit file? If so, then it has effectively been on my credit file for seven years. Greatly appreciate your help and advice.

One you have your completion certificate - and its is over 6 years it should drop off. However once you have your certificate it is worth leaving for a few weeks to update then checking both the IVA status also any defaults

Thanks for your reply. It's just the three credit scoring companies I need to check isn't it, Experian and the like?

The three main ones as far as I know are Experian, Equifax and Callcredit.

Thank you so much for your help. Found this forum this evening and so glad I did. Just hope I get my CC soon!
