Last Xmas in IVA

Seems like forever though doesn't it.
The extra 12 months really seems to have got the better of me at the moment.
We did have an opportunity for a f+f some time ago but that went belly up, just wish i could knock it on the head now.

I know just how you feel! Hubby has just gone onto state pension from benefits so it's making a difference to our income but until we can work the figures out propery we've no idea if we can continue payments as they are. We managed it last month but I can't work anything out until the beginning of the month so I think Januarys payment will be knocked on the head!!

I also wish we could knock it on the head!!

It will soon go olympic, this year has flown by in all honesty for me, i don't know where it has gone to, so hopefully yours and everyone elses will go quickly as well.

To be fair, the first few years have gone by quite quick, it's just the thought of the extra year.
Jan, I know how you feel, our eldest daughter is moving out soon, so we will lose the money she pays us each month.
Things have been tight anyway since Mrs Torch lost her job, even with reduced payments.
I wish i could raise the money for a f+f. For the sake of approx 3k i could be free of it, what's that, a second hand skoda?

I just feel that things are in limbo at the moment - I can't see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Not good with the daughter moving out - I suppose though that even though your money will go down, your expenditure should as well although possibly not by the same amount.

Isn't it awful that we can't even manage to raise the sum of £3k these days?

I know how you feel, i'm just waiting now for the outcome of variation meeting in the new year, looking at extension of another 12 months from feb 2012 as unable to release equity, it does feel like its dragging on now though.

Hope you are well too Jan thanks for add on fb btw, wishing this was the last xmas in iva but very doubtful, im just counting down the payments now lol [:)] .

Someone bricked my tunnel up whilst i was asleep.
(I never felt a thing).
I know, pre iva 3k was a fortnights summer holiday on the costa del pay on plastic somewhere.

I think they've managed to scupper most of us at some point!!!

I know what you mean about the holiday - my first USA holiday cost about that way back in '94!!

Couldn't raise 3 quid at the moment!!!

Well, that's cheered everyone up on the forum.
Sorry, but i do get the black dog in me sometimes.
I think it's a culmination of 6 and 7 day working with 2 jobs just to stand still.
Tomorrow is another day, (oh, i'm working, cancel that)

Amazing to see so many of you so near to the end of the road! When I first started posting on the forum over five years ago some of you were at the start of the journey and are now at the end. Some amazing journeys and some good friends made along the way. Very well done to all of you!

Kallis & OT.... When going through an IVA feelings of longing to be at the end and wishing our lives away are natural. It does seem like such a hard battle at times, but just hang onto the thought of where you were nearly 5 years ago. Things can never be as bad as that again, and every month (even though it may drag) is one month nearer the end of the road. Just hang in there. You have both been such a constant support to others on this forum, that sometimes we forget that you are going the same problems as everyone else. Virtual hugs to you both.

Good morning all,

This is our first xmas not in IVA and I have to say it's going good. Xmas shopping this weekend and not a credit card in sight. I am still budgeting, and not overspending. My oldest kids have the Ebay bug and have bought a few items off there for xmas which is good. The youngest needed a bigger TV so my daughter got a reasonable sized one for £50. Bargain if I say so myself.

Okay enough rambling from me. Last thing I would like to say to everyone is keep in there, hold your heads up high and don't let things get you down especially at this time of year.

Jan, me too, plan a is 59 and 6 months plus 1 day. Classed as 60 then and can retire on full pension.
Should have enough in my avc's to pay my mortgage off.

I can actually go now and am desperately trying employer won't let me to.do so but employer won't let me go.as it will cost them.
