Hi cath2987
This seems to be one of the many letters sent out to a number of GT clients today which basically means that they want to claim any possible mis-sold PPI on your behalf for the benefit of your creditors.
How far into your IVA are you?

Hi cath2987. Sounds like GT have employed a 3rd party company to look into and PPI claims you may have. If so, they would be classed as an asset and paid into your IVA. If you have no claim to make, you could let them know ASAP. There are lots of other posts on the Forum about this, so it might be worth a look to see what's been happening with others - there's quite a few from other GT clients. Good luck. x

If you dont believe you had any PPI I would let GT know however I dont know what their stance is on the subject so they may well want to investigate anyway incase there is PPI that you didnt realise you had taken.
To be honest as you are only a year in I would let them investigate it anyway as it will all be done and dusted for when you complete.

Thank goodness you aren't at the end of your IVA, so at least they are starting the process earlier with you. Some companies are 'encouraging' us to use these companies as they are saying we may not have known PPI was included so they need us to check and make sure. I wrote to mine early on because I know I've no claim to make.

Of course not cath2987. I was able to pay a lump sum as I had to take redundancy in March, due to chronic health issues. I was likely to lose my job on health grounds, so I requested redundancy to save failing my IVA. I'm aware it's usually classed as a windfall, but as it's unlikely I'll be working any time soon, PayPlan put my proposal forward and it was accepted by all creditors. Hope this info helps. x
