Hi all,

I'm new to this so would need some advises.
Lets get to the point, I used to bank with Santander but this is now listed in my IVA and the account is freeze, but my dad has sent money to that account by mistake.
As I did a switch from Santander to Natwest and should be protected by the switch guarantee, Santander allowed for this amount to be paid in.
Contacted Hanover Insolvency as they deal with my IVA to issue the letter of no intrest to Santander I feel like getting no where with them.
Has anyone experienced similar?

Hi,

Sorry this has been missed. Get in touch with your IP and pester them. Santander cannot keep this money as they are not allowed to offset against their own debt. Have you asked Santander to release this money/

Hi,

Thanks for the replay.
Yes I did contact Santander to release the money but they are unable to until they receive the letter of no intrest from IP which is a nightmare. I have spent the last 2 days to chase the Hanover Insolvency and keep checking with Santander if they received the letter.
Its also cheeky for Santander to accept this payment as when I entered into IVA I did the switch and all payments incoming and outgoing has been redirected to the new account but not this one 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️
