Having just started the whole IVA process I feel a little more relaxed about the future.
I have been advised to notify my creditors with notification that I have started the process when I receive a letter from them.
Is there anywhere that has a template or what should be in the letter to make them understand without a 'I'm not paying you' sort of sound?

Many thanks

Paul

I would just quote your account number and put
Dear--

Further to your letter. I am writing to inform you that I am having financial difficltys and that I am seeking professional advice. I cannot make any payment at this time and will keep you informed of the situation as it proceeds. I add the following reference number please contact them if you require further information( If you have a company name and reference number, telephone no then add this here)

Yours faithfully.

That is what I would put.
Hope that helps

I am a little suprised that your IP firm has not given you any guidance on this point. Ask them to provide you with a copy of their standard letter for you to issue to all of the creditors. This should have been provided to you as part of their engagement procedure.

I was given a template letter by Thomas Charles which I had to copy, address one to each creditor and send it to them along with a copy to Thomas Charles.
