Beckie - why you posting to the credit agencies? - any defaults dated after the IVA start - you need to go to the company directly. The IVA will drop off in 6 years - before that it will still remain on file

Get your 3 stat credit reports - then check to see if any defaults are on them (dated after the start of the IVA) if there is write to each company to the Data Controller asking for the defaults to be removed - send a copy of your certificate with the letter.
The IVA will remain on file for a total of six years - if defaults are all dated before the IVA - nothing to do as they will all drop automatically
IVA register/ the land register - you IVA company will do this.
trying to save you some needless expense in money and time [:)]

Send copies of the completion certificate to the 3 CRA's to get them to mark your credit file to show the IVA as completed. They will however check this with the insolvency service first before doing that.
I agree about contacting the Creditors Data Controller for any defaults put on your file after the start of the IVA. To kick things off though you have to get hold of all 3 credit files.
We're willing to wipe the slate clean, give you a fresh start. All that we're asking in return is your cooperation.

When our IVA finished we sent a letter off to all our creditors AND the credit agencies with a copy of the completion certificate.
We did this, despite it costing £10 to do it with all the postage, but we got letters back within a week of at least 75% of the creditors saying action taken, with the credit reference agencies chasing one creditor for the other 25% to make amemdments - it was worth us doing it and it gave me satisfaction in seeing them being changed.
My letter was basically that our IVA started on XXXX, our IVA was completed on XXXX. Attached is a copy of the certificate of completion - please amend our record as satisfied and remove any defaults on our account from the start date of our IVA.
Happy to offer any other help
