HI
just recieved a letter from Bank of Scotland final demand if payment has not been paid with in 7 days it will be put in the hands of a debt collector who may make a call at our house.I have sent this letter to my IP as instructed by them, my question is what do they do with these letters. I have just had my proposal drafted and is being checked over, but are very worried about these letters.

Keep sending them to your IP Jos, so that they have the most up to date information to hand to enable creditor claims to be agreed.

Send all correspondence to your IP and if there is anything to worry about they will be able to deal with this for you.

I just found this post and I have not had any correspondence from any of my creditors except this one shown below. I started my IVA a month already and this creditor was included so I cannot understand why they have not accepted this.

As we have not received any repayment proposals for your debt, we are transferring the amount to debt collectors who will call upon you personally, if you do not begin repayments following receipt of this letter.

The matter warrants your immediate attention.

yours sincerely

I think I will give them a call to put the records straight!!

Its probably a computer generated letter. Give them a call and if you have no joy, ask your IP to ring them for you.

OK thanks Skint, I will do this but they must be way behind with their own computer records!! however this company are not UK based so correspondence may be a bit slow in getting to them.

I wouldnt worry too much. I recieved lots of letters even months after m IVA was accepted. They cant do anything to you, the IVA is a legally binding doccument and they have as much of a duty to abide by it as we do.

Thanks again for this. It's just the thought of THEM calling to me personally that put me off!! I will panic now if I hear the door buzzer going soon.
