In my short time on here I have viewed many posts. The one thing that stands out is the cries of anguish that permeates them. I have seen many start posting on here and you can feel the despair and heart ache in the first couple of posts. But read on and follow these posters and its like watching a veil lift, seeing the clouds part and the sun come out. I think we are all touched by this forum but some more than others, and its a hard core of a few posters who are always there to help newbies, oldies or inbetweenies like me. God bless this forum and long may it be there for those of us who can't cope.
When I was young I was called a rugged individualist
When I was in my fifties I was considered eccentric
Here I am doing and saying the same things I did back then and now I'm labelled senile

I quite agree Ray. It is so heartwarming to see how anguish turns to positivity (is there such a word?).

Unfortunately, there are so many people out there in total despair who have not yet found us, and may never find us.

But not only are we here for help and advice on monetary matters, there is a wealth of advise on every subject you can think of.

And we also have a few laughs along the way![:D][:D]

That's what is so special about this forum. The thing is we have all been there, we know what it is like to be afraid of the phone ringing or that knock on the door....truly horrendous when you are at the dark place of your life.
This forum offers free, honest advice along with the crutch that is needed when you most need it, whether it's money related or not. As Jan said, we have a few laughs along the way, which is always a good thing.
It always makes me smile when the transformation of posters take place, it's very liberating. As you say Ray, some start very desperate and it's great to 'see' them gain strength and courage to deal with their debt.
It's nice to be back......

Even though a lot of us never actually get to meet because we are too far apart geographically, I consider each and every person on here my friend, always there to answer my questions and cheer me up if I am feeling down.

Even when I have come out the other side of my IVA, I will stick around to help other people.

I second that Kallis, I wouldn't have got through the last few months without my friends on this forum.

Me neither.

I am looking forward to going to the next frugal friends in the Midlands so that I can put a few faces to names.

Forgot to say Ray, great post. It's heartbreaking reading some of the first posts but as you have said, hopefully within a day or two they can see a glimmer of hope. I'll be here forever or until I'm kicked off cause everyone is sick of me![:I] X

None of my friends or family have a clue about my financial problems. I am glad that I can off load my thoughts, queries and just general comments on here. It does take a load off your mind.
