That is great to hear that Santander are taking a positive approach to helping people who have concluded their IVAs. I shall be filing this post for future reference, and thank you for sharing it with us.

Hi Mel,

My family who also opens bank accounts with Santander due to a cash back offer also got offered credit cards too. I think it as more a "recruitment" drive rather than relaxing their regulations. The only business I have concluded with Santander was a car purchase over 4 years before my iva that completed a year into it. So they should not really know about my iva, would be good to see other people's feedback Bout banks. Being offered guaranteed acceptance cards was a reason I got ink debt but now I am older and wiser. The banking market has picked up and as a result bank are back to offering you money left, right and centre in hope of making some money.

I personally think there needs to be more done to regulate banks to stop people going into debt!
Got married two months after i completed! Building my life back up again but still staying on here to support all those who helped me in my times of need!

These are all new to me to from a credit point of view. Barclays did give me a 90% chance of getting a credit card but I opted for the nationwide one. I think banks who you had debts with hold details for longer than 6 years!
