cat1 ask admin for my email and we can keep in contact off forum if you want to? or ask them to pass me yours and we'll have a moan off forum. I talk to kandh (kerri) most evenings on msn, she has done a f&f now but understands my woes in my IVA and listens to me bless her. I went to see her on Friday at her house and she's visited me too so it's a nice friendship and it's one where I don't have to pretend, I can admit I'm in an IVA as she knows I am!
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

I can't feel what you are going through Cat as my 'journey' so far has been an easy one, though if that will last I don't know. but what I do know is that there is a basic rule for IVA success.

The rule is: Success depends on the SUPPORT of other people.

The only hurdle between you and what you want to be in is the SUPPORT of other people. We are in the enviable position of having the best SUPPORT network on the internet. I've been involved with 'posting' for many years, as far back as Bulletin boards right through to the WWW, and I have to say this is the BEST forum I have ever been involved with and what makes it so is the people and the support they offer. So please Cat, never ever feel you are alone. Or at least remember that you aren't, we are all here for you and each other.

I agree Ray, we are all here for each other. I hope that is what's stopping most of us from staying in that dark place. I've been there and I'm still half in/half out at the moment. Cat1, you're not alone, but I understand your feelings. I hope you get that interview if that's what you want, let us all know how you get on. X

I too know exactly how you all feel,Im 18 months into a 5yr Iva. Up until recently I was really relieved to be in my iva and was quite enjoying the challenge,my husband has had to change his job for a lower paid one and now Im struggling a bit, I did speak to Ip and he did say I might be able to reduce payments if I extend Iva but I couldnt stand the thought of that.He should be able to get some overtime soon I hope. It just seems Im working all the hours god sends for nothing, Yes I know its my own fault for gettihg into debt, but I pay £600 a month payment and am paying on average of £120 each month overtime and hardly have any wages left.My hubby an kids seem to think Im a bank with endless supplies of money.Probably just feeling sorry for myself as Iv had loads to pay out last month, school uniforms,college/work gear for eldest and rigged both kids out for winter(thank god their into fashionable primark stuff now rather than named tracksuits)so pot is very empty now on the plus side though 18months ago I wouldn't have had the cash to buy any of it so must keep reminding myselfthings are much better than they were.

Working all the hours that god sends is bound to catch up with you sooner or later, particularly if you've nothing to show for it. You need to make sure that you don't make yourself ill.

It doesn't help if your family are asking for money as well, but a good thing they don't want expensive designer stuff.

On the plus side, you're 18 months in. I'm sure the remainder of the time will pass quickly.

Hope you feel more cheerful soon.
