A very interesting original post, and very interesting replies. I can see both points of view, keep quiet, shout out loud.
If I won that big I would have a great time. Sort my family and friends out first, Buy myself a nice Aston, my wife a fully restored original Mini, and maybe a fun track car. Move somewhere nice, Devon or Cornwall, nice holiday and put enough away to be comfortable for the rest of our lives.
Then the real fun would be begin. How great it would be to be a "secret millionaire". Seen the tv programme enough times to know there are people out there who could really do with help. Local small charities and community programmes struggling to keep going for the benefit of others. They don't all need millions or hundreds of thousands even, but it would be great to just go up to them one day and say "You all do such a great job, and here's a little something to get you by" and present a nice fat cheque. I don't want the recognition or fame, just to help out others in need. There is so much greed in this world (Footballers wages for example) that I couldn't justify keeping it all, why do you need that much?
Winning the lottery would change my life. It would change so many others too. That would put a bigger smile on my face than the actual winning.
