Just had a call from Hywell at Jones Giles saying our IVA has been accepted. We had a tortuous few days since the creditors' meeting last Thursday when Northern Rock's "NO" meant that, without a "YES" from another creditor, my wife's IVA would fail. That extra vote has now come in and we are in the clear with a few minor modifications. What a relief!!!! Nothing is set in stone as we had a "yes" vote from HSBC even though the proposal returns around 30p in the £ and from MBNA. As far as I know only Northern Rock voted "NO" but will post the full results when available. Ours is not a standard proposal so perhaps should not be used as a yardstick for others. Huge thanks to Melanie and her team (October record intact) particularly poor Hywell who has had to chase around for votes and removal of modifications whilst at the same time being bombarded with telephone call from me. I couldn't have been so patient with me!! Thanks too to Andrew Graveson who got the ball rolling for us in the first place and, of course, to everyone on this forum both for waking us up to the possibilities open to us and for the endless support and advice the forum gives. This is a life-changing morning for us. Bless you all!!!
Congratulations johnh, really pleased for you. Good luck for the future.

We are all absolutely delighted with the result of your creditors meeting. Your's was a difficult case, for all sorts of reasons, but we got there in the end!
