weldone john that is great news, enjoy your cheeky bottle of vino and savour it as this is now the beginning of a new life for you all, good luck and well done, i so wish that i had found this before i started out as Melanie seems to the person to be seeking out and i will not have any hesitation in recommending her should i know of anyone who is looking to solve their debt problems, however that said my IP couldn't have been better and up to now i haven't encountered any problems, phew!
Om shanti, namesté, good luck to all who are embarking on the IVA journey, it isn't always an easy one but the outcome is the best.

IVA COMPLETED August 2012, received Completion certificate 18.4.13.

Well done John. I'm right at the start of the process waiting for Melanie and her team to send out my IVA pack, but I'm really looking forward to being in your position one day soon and being able to start looking forward and getting some sleep again!

Great news, well done.

Why is it that although Northern Rock who are now owned by the Government say no to IVA's, when it is Government legislation that is being used to help people into an IVA.
Does this mean that sometime in the future RBS/LLoyds and HBOS will also be adverse to IVA'S.
Have not been on the forum long but have got the vibe that Northern Rock like to say no.

Well done! It's difficult admitting up to the problem and even more doing something about it, and the preparation and waiting process is agonising but definitely worth it. I know the next few years will be difficult but I see it as a managed few years where as long as I keep my side of the deal I look forward to a good future.
10 down. 50 to go. DFD planned 3/9/2013! Getting there slowly but surely.

Thanks gain, everybody.
Northern Rock's reason was that we had only made 11 repayments to an unsecured loan. Strange that government should be urging other banks to go easy on re-possessions when their own bank,NR, are leading the charge to re-possess. (That would have been the consequence for us had the IA failed - our mortgage is also with NR)

Northern Rock owned 38% of my debt and fortunatly they said yes. Owed them £24000. So I think myself very lucky however there is a point. Owned by the people yet seem to be the most agressive toward house repossesion. Someone should tell Mr Brown his words are not being matched by what is happening in the real world.

20 pence in the pound means that for every pound that you borrowed, you would pay back 20p! This is otherwise known as a dividend.
