I am in the process of undertaking an IVA for unsecured debts soley in my name. At present i live in rented accomodation with my girlfriend and our 1 year old son. Whilst preparing the IVA through CCCS, they obvioulsy asked about my partner and i explained that she worked part-time (earning approx. £300 a month) and also ooked after our son.

We wish to get married and i want to know what implcations, if any, my IVA will have on her.

Many thanks.

It won't affect her at all.

Thanks for that.

What if she inherits money? I'm sure she would want to help, but would my creditors be legally entitled to some of her money?

If your Partner is not party to the IVA then any inheritance would not be accessible by your creditors.
