Cat that sounds lovely. I'm not really a romantic so im no good with suggestions.
mr skint thinks its his birthday if im nice to him LOL Bless him hes so used to having the mickey taken out of him all the time.
We once had a bet. He bet that i couldnt spend a week without taking the mickey once. I did really well too but with 20 minutes to go before i won, i turned to him in bed and said "give us a kiss fatty" I LOST.

Still, its all in fun and he knows how much i love him.

Many moons ago my lovely husband arranged a weekend away fo valentines. He told me we were going for a meal, secretly he had got the kids to pack my bag and had arranged for babysitters, when I got in the car I knew nothing until we went on the motorway and he told me then he had booked a travelodge on Devon for the weekend. I dont think we had ever been anywhere without the kids (4). It was wonderful, it snowed there were gales in fact the doors blew off the travelodge in the night but it was great.

I used to think that little gifts were everything!! Its only now when you're in the financial mess you're in do you realise that there is more to life than materialistic things, and just little things like I've done the bathroom for you or just leave that i'll do it are just as nice!![:)]

Its probably all those little gifts that helped our debt get to the state its in. Hubby trying to keep me happy. Its not worth it..
Ang.. 13 payments in.. WOW, thats over 20% paid!! http://angela18.blogs.iva.co.uk/ well here we go

Happy belated anniversary Mr & Mrs Skint.

The most romantic time I can think of with Dave (he's not romantic!) was the first time we went away together for a week. We stayed in a cottage in Lyme Regis and I can still remember the breathtaking view as we drove down the hill and then standing with him on the end of the Cobb - the weather was lovely and hot and (despite the sunburn!) I felt so happy.

Don't I sound soppy!

We once had a night in a hotel in Blackpool. It was cold and wet, i was sore and felt really poorly after just having chaemo. We had a walk along the sea front, stopped to eat then went back to the hotel and went to sleep. We woke the next day and it had snowed really heavily in the night. It was nothing special but it was lovely because it was just the 2 of us and he wanted me to rest.
The hotel manager gave us half the money back because i was poorly and the hotel had been a little noisy. I think he felt a bit sorry for me.

I'm actually in the process of trying to convince Dave that we should get married but although he no longer says no with a panic stricken look on his face he doesn't say yes either! When I mentioned it too him a little while ago his exact words were 'I'm letting you have a cat, what more do you want?!?'

I love Blackpool in winter, I know it's as tacky as hell but when its windy and cold and the Irish sea is pounding over the walls it is so dramatic.

Now we are getting older we have more chance to do this. We loved our cheapy sun holiday, just resting. Guess what though, we have booked again looking forward to our walks and a rest, joy, and the kids have latched on, so now there is me hubby, one daughter and her boyfriend in one caravan and the other daughter has booked as well and that means her other half and 2 grandchildren. We will need a rest when we get home ! Lovely really though.

Happy belated Anniversary - Mr and Mrs Skint

Size 5 - you could always cook the Mrs Size 5 a meal, complete with pudding and a bottle - that always down well (once we've got over the shock factor of a man doing the cooking!) but don't forget you will also need to do the washing up!

It was my brithday the other day and I was a little disappointed that hubby didn't get me a card - I was looking forward to one of those - to my wife - cards given that we only got married in September - but no [:(]

And i really want to go to Blackpool - I think it would be fantastic, particularly in winter, I'm a sucker for any kind of rough weather.

Every so often, the Hilton does a deal in the winter for £99 for 2 nights at the weekend (room, not per person) with an evening meal included on the first night as well as breakfast obviously.
Excellent value and well worth looking out for, there is something brilliant about walking along the prom when the weather is howling that I just can't explain, perhaps it is just linking arms with the mrs, and feeling that it is just you against the world.

Oh dear, I'm getting soppy again, for goodness sake don't tell Mrs Size!!!
