...after all, we all need cheering up at some point during the day!

Evening all - this one will tickle you!

So, after a period of around 6 weeks with no correspondence from my creditors and the IVA going well I get a call today at lunch time at work on my mobile from ... you guessed it ... MBNA

Now, get this, they originally voted 'NO'but were out voted so had to accept - letters and calls stopped then comes this today

"Hello Mr. XXXX this is Sarah from MBNA"

"Hello"

"We have noticed you have not used your credit card much lately and were wondering if we could offer you a new interest free period where you can cash cheques for your personal use in time for Xmas"

"Errrm, I am am actually shocked to get this sort of call from you to be honest"

"Oh, why is that Mr. XXXXXXX?"

"I am in an IVA and you are one of my creditors"

"Oh, sorry to have bothered you"

I was shocked - are their systems so bad they wanted to offer me money? I should have asked them to deposit £5000 in to my account and withdrawn it for personal use (that was a joke by the way - I would never do that)

It's the way I tell em ...

Night all.

We had a letter from Barclaycard today, despite their relentless calls, saying the credit limit would be increased to x if we paid x, we wouldn't be able to withdraw cash but if the money was paid we could use the card.....mad!
7 year IVA completed in December 2016 - there is light at the end of that tunnel

One of these days, creditors will make sure that all of their systems will be updated at the same time.
