It is just another tactic - they know that a lot of people are scared of bankruptcy and will do anything not to go down that route. They obviously want people to deal with them rather than do an IVA.

Call centres are call centres

and

Insolvency teams are insolvency teams

It seems that these days ne-er the twain shall meet - and it is actually time some banks sorted out their internal communications.

Exactly Melanie and Paul!

Call centres work to a script - the actual people who matter haven't a clue what really matters. Their target is to get payments by whatever method they can so that their meagre wages can be supplemented by commission - doesn't matter how.

Remember the advert for Horlicks - how do they sleep at night? I reckon they must all be given Horlicks before they finish at night.
I know I couldn't sleep if I had treated people the way some of these people do!

next time I get a call I will ask to speak to a team leader before answering any questions. I will then ask the team leader how many bananas they have fed the monkey before i speak to them.
