HI
It is my creditors meeting in 5 days. I have read many times on this forum on MBNA selling their debt, and then voting yes. How far in advance do they normally do this. I have not heard anything yet, but maybe it is caught up in the christmas post
53 down 7 to go !!
Cant wait till December 2012

Sometimes the debt can be sold on some time after an IVA is accepted.
My hubby had been in his IVA for 2 years when he had a message left on his phone telling him it was extremely important for him to ring them. When he did, he was told they were a company who had bought one of his debts and they claimed they werent even aware of his IVA.
They did not vote in the variation meeting to offer F&F and to this day they still havent made a claim even though they have been asked to and the offer was accepted.

MBNA did this to me too.Eversheds wrote and advised me.The week before MBNA had written to me with phone numbers of national debt helpline, urging me to seriously think before the IVA was agreed. All very confusing even now. Cat1

Caraf, Its too late to worry about this now! numerous people on this site have assured you your IVA is likely to be accepted, you probably wont even hear from MBNA before your meeting as its christmas. whoever votes...votes! Just try and enjoy your christmas!
