Don't give up just yet Meash, did your IP propose a 6 year IVA, if not, then NR might just want it for 6 and they may still accept on Monday.

I just had a look at their site, and they don't look too bad.

However, I did notice that in the FAQ's section there is a question about who gets to see the chairmans report. They say no one apart from you and them and obviously the court has your details.

They forget to mention that your name will be on the Insolvency Register for the next 5 years and anyone can look!

I kinda knew that anyway. They have been extremely proffesional in all this. They did warn me up front that NR may want a 6 year deal but surely they would have said so, rather than just reject the offer? or is that too simple

Oh Meash, I am so sorry to hear that your IVA has been rejected. To give you hope, NR approved mine on the 25/7 and they are mine and hubby's biggest creditor (and I mean big!). They requested a 6 yr IVA which is fine, so don't give up hope yet, I am sure your IP is doing all they can for you. Chin up mate, Kazzy x

I don't know Meash. I would have thought they would have put it forward as a modification, but obviously not.

Lets hope that's what it is.

Sorry to hear this Meash, hopefully something can be salvaged. So difficult to understand when it is a better option for them rather than bankrupcy. I hope there is a turnaround for you.

You could always represent the proposals at a later stage, but firstly it is better to find out why this creditor have rejected today. If the proposal was presented in line with the newly introduced IVA protocol, NR have to give a reason for their rejection - and should do in any case if they are asked.

It would be pointless for NR not to give a reason and given that the rest of the creditors were positive towards this iva,I would imagine NR arent making many friends with regards to other creditors.
Discharged today the 8th feb 2012. View is much brighter now.
Continuing to rebuild our credit worthiness.
