Hi All
I have my meeting for the 12th July in the email it states I don’t have to be there, just available for the phone call after they have the meeting. I guess this is to say wether it’s approved or not?
I’ll be honest I’m a nervous wreck.
Things bothering me are if I’m approved how does it all work?
I’m on a 0 contract as I work offshore, what concerns me is I am paid by the time sheet for example if I join the vessel on the 28th of the month I will only get 3 days pay for that month. Then will have to wait till the 15th of the following month to receive that money.

As I work a 21 day rota ie : 21 day on shift . 21 days off.
So as my 21 day shift continues into the following month I then get paid the rest of that pay. For example…
Joined ship : 28/5/21 =3 days pay for May.
01/06/21 to 18/06/21 = 18 days pay for June .

So may pay is paid in June and June’s pay is paid in July . 15th of every month.

So with all my expenses and living allowance comes to £1500 a month.
So really some months my money does not cover that amount which is why eleventh now and again I’ll get a full 21 day shift in the same month. So I need that money to help with the following month to help with the bills.
Very confusing isn’t it lol .
I’m just wondering how they will work this out?

They should already have addressed that in your proposal and spoken to you about it --- if not, ask them. I imagine they will be working on averaged figures, over a given time period and it will be a case of using the 'good' months to offset the 'bad'.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

I agree with foggy - get them to explain to you again and ensure you are comfortable with it. Now is the time to rethink if you are unsure on anything - good luck x

Is there no way of making contact sooner ? I fear leaving it that close your meeting date gives very little real opportunity to resolve the query

Hi my pay fluctuated throughout my IVA, it was averaged over the year and ran pretty smoothly. I think it's important you get this sorted before your meeting!
Good luck
