Both me and my husband are currently going through the IVA process and have been to see Melanie today in Cardiff to finalise our proposals. I was going to wait until after the creditors meeting to shower this praise but decided to do it now!

From our initial conversations with Tina, the ongoing support from Angela & Hywel and finally the meeting with Melanie today the whole process has been handled with the utmost professionalism and care. When we originally decided to look into the IVA route I contacted Clear Start but after a couple of phone calls didn't feel comfortable proceeding with them (the guy kept on calling me darling and shortening my name!) and based on numerous testimonials posted on the forum decided to get second opinion from Melanie & her team -so relieved we did! Straight away Tina made us feel comfortable, explained everything clearly and we knew we were in good hands. Dealing with Angela and Hywel over the past few weeks has been great and they are always happy to help and answer your queries. And last , but certainly not least, we met with Melanie today, and although we had to travel from Merseyside to Cardiff and back in one day (falling asleep as I type this!)it was so well worth the trip. Melanie is absolutely lovely, the ultimate professional and put us completely at ease. Working through the finalisation of the proposals face to face with Melanie is what I would recommend to anyone going through this process as both my husband and I feel much more comfortable about going forward with an IVA.

We have the next hurdle of the creditors meeting in a couple of week’s time but are feeling confident as we know we've definitely chosen the right IP.

Anyway I’ll stop babbling now but just want to finish by saying that if you are new visitor to this forum (like I was a couple of months back) and are considering the IVA option please just give Melanie's team a call as it will take a lot of the mental stress away from the situation knowing that you are dealing with people that a) know what they are talking about b) care about what they do and c) care about delivering great customer service to their clients.

Best wishes

L x

Yes good luck.
I have contacted Melanies team today as an IVA is the route that we want to take. Already I am starting to feel in safe hands and although still highly stressed, I am starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel.
Thank you to everyone for your superb recommendations.
So glad that we found this site.

Hi there

I, like you, started off with another provider and was not happy but as soon as I changed to Melanie I had complete confidence and felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders.

I would like to add that my iva was approved in November and the help and support and level of service is continued to the same very high standard after your iva is approved.
I have emailed Melanie a few times and get an almost immediate response and have phoned the office and spoke to Angela since who has always been helpful.
i feel confident that I am being looked after for the next 5 years.

Good Luck for your creditors meeting

good luck with your Creditors Meeting Lisa, I'm sure everything will go as planned.
When I was young I was called a rugged individualist
When I was in my fifties I was considered eccentric
Here I am doing and saying the same things I did back then and now I'm labelled senile

Isn't it wonderful to hear positive stories ... I'm not at all surprised though considering your choice of IP practice!

Good luck.

Hi all, I too have just commenced by proceedings with Melanie and her team. I have been so far dealing with 'the other Melanie' and she has been fantastic. I have three days in a row I sent her emails, and she responded straight away. Angela is dealing with my case and I am looking forward to speaking with her. No doubt I will be called to Cardiff in the future, and if I am, I am so looking forward to meeting the TEAM. Well done to all of you. Kazzy x

Hi Lisban and welcome to the forum. So glad all is going well.
Melanie, unfortunately for me joined the forum shortly after I did, and my iva was already approved. I would most definately have asked Melanie to propose my iva. You are all very lucky to have such a good IP.(not complaining either as my company have been great).
Hopefully Melanie will bring some of her team with her to frugal friends as I would love to meet them. They all sound so nice.

Well done Melanie and team xx

I would just like to echo everything that has been said about Melanie and her team.

From our initial contact with Tina we were immediately put at ease and she wasn't at all phased by me crying into the phone. I then had conversations with Angela and Hywell and then Melanie.

Now the IVA is approved we still have the same level of service and when I ring now I say my name and they know who I am. Angela, Laura and Diane have all been very helpful when I have had any questions.

We still have a long way to go with our IVA but because we have Melanie and her team behind us we know we are in good hands.
