Hi Melanie,

I haven't posted on here for a while but really need some advice. We were supposed to be coming to see you in Cardiff on Monday but as we just cant get any childcare for the children (9 months and 4) it just wasn't possible so rescheduled for a telephone interview which my husband arranged for Monday 7th (he originally thought it was Monday just gone until we sat waiting for an hour after the "scheduled time" for him to realise he had got his dates mixed up!!!!)

Anyway, we have received a letter today from Northampton County court requesting we fill in all sorts of info i.e income, expenditure, debts etc etc and return to them by the 19th May. We have informed A&L the whole way along and they know we are currently working on an IVA proposal. What do we do with this? Do we fill it in and return it to them or forward it to you? Do you know what the aim of such proceedings tends to be, this seems to be something to be worried about?

We rang your office today and left a message for Sarah to get back in touch but she hasn't as of yet so she must have had a busy day, I'm sure she will be back in touch tomorrow but that brings me to our next predicament!!

We are due to go on holiday tomorrow for 2 weeks, it was booked as a big family holiday about a year ago as we unfortunately lost a close family member who left an inheritance and my parents have booked this whole thing for everyone as a gift from this, we dont really want to miss this opportunity as I know it is going to be the last for a long time but is our current situation going to allow us to travel without disaster striking back here regarding our finances? If there could be implications with us going then we would have to pull out - we dont want things getting any worse than at present.

Apologies for all the questions but I just dont know what we should be doing!

thank you very much in advance
Andrea

Andrea

Case specific issues are best dealt with directly, so I will call you tomorrow to discuss this. Suffice to say there is nothing to worry about given the timescale we are talking about to present your proposals.

Absolutely not - go and enjoy your holiday, especially as it may be the last one you can take for a while. But if you are going on holiday, are we still going to do the tele-interview on 7 May?

Oh thanks Melanie, what a relief, I am so glad we can still take this holiday! Yes, we can definately still go ahead on the 7th, my husband works abroad so gets to receive free international calls on his phone (thanks to his employer!!)so the call will be fine for us to receive(and as it's a mobile you wont be charged at international rate either, just normal!!)

We will be certain to set aside the time to be able to go through things fully with you, and have all of the information you may need available, we are just wanting to get things moving now.

thanks again
Andrea
